It’s Here!
Gripstone’s 5th Annual “Out of Control Climbfest” and competition

Featuring Bouldering, Top-rope and Lead Climbing, Climbfest is Gripstone’s Premiere annual event.
We expect even more participants and spectators this year for an unforgettable experience that brings our community closer together.

We will host an after-party with raffles, beer and fun to spice up the festive atmosphere. When you get hungry, Chuck T’s Roadhouse food truck, and our smoothie/coffee bar will be open for business.

Women’s and Men’s Recreational and Youth divisions will follow a 1 round Modified Redpoint* format. Climbers can choose any Boulder, Top-rope or Auto Belay on the scorecard.
*There will be NO lead climbing for Recreational or Youth divisions.

The Women’s and Men’s Advanced and Open divisions will consist of a Modified Redpoint qualification round to select 5 women and 5 men to Compete in an “On-sight” Final.

Gripstone will provide a limited number of belayers for the qualification rounds. Participants previously certified by Gripstone may belay also.

Gripstone’s Climbfest is for climbers of any level from beginner to elite to have a great time climbing or competing. Don’t hesitate to be part of the fun!

Advanced and Open finalists will be competing for a Cash Purse of:
$2500.00

*Redpoint format allows for participants to all climb together as a group, watch and encourage each other and exchange ideas.
**On-sight format means that climbers are not allowed to watch each other climb or receive any information about the climbs before their attempt. Climbers are isolated before their turn to climb.
